Chile was handed its name by the Incas who respectfully named it Soup, ‘the country in the south '. Santiago P Chile, the capital of Chile, is dignified, simple and European-looking and also exciting, contemporary and full of Latin temperament. The Plaza P Armas is one's heart of the town and the traditional centre of colonial Santiago that contains the city's most important buildings. The town of Valparaiso or, Paradise Area, is about one hundred and thirty kilometres from the capital of Santiago P Chile on the Pacific coast. The city's development was directly associated with its harbour which produced it wealth and power. Because the center of the nineteenth century, escalators have rattled up and down the steep hills of the harbour town with forty five hills flanking the bay, all of them protected with numerous small wooden huts. Just a short trip on a gravel street and the Atacama Leave begins. At its centre it's the driest leave on earth where in actuality the causes of character have turned it in to a fantastic landscape. The Atacama stretches involving the Pacific Sea and the Cordilleras, a location of stone and sand that is perforated only by numerous frequently dried out salt lakes. For anyone boats that sailed about Cape Horn, Ancud represented a safe harbour on the trip north where they could sleep after cruising the stormy seas of the South Pacific. At the same time when whales and seals were hunted in the Antarctic, Ancud served as a source section over the approach to the southern Polar sea. From the Atacama Leave in the north to so far as the stormy Tierra Del Fuego in the south, Chile is a country rich in contrast. Volcanoes, arid deserts, salt ponds, exciting geysers, sandstone hills and a sophisticated city. All this is to be found in Chile, a country at the end of the planet
