The financial assistance was asked from the Princess of Isabel to build a great statue of Lord Jesus Christ which was considered as a religious symbol and is freshly recognized as a part of recent seven wonders of the world. Initially this notion was ignored and nobody thought to build this huge sacred structure, but after ward in 1921, the figurine was ultimately built by the Catholic Circle of Rio, when the actual need and proposal for a huge milestone and a religious memorial was sincerely considered. With all the hardships the statue was finally built on the tip of 700m high Corcovado Mountain and recently is saluted as one of the seven wonders of the world.
