Keukenhof Gardens The Netherlands


If you visit the Netherlands and especially if you visit the Netherlands during a nice holiday travel, you will probably stay close to Amsterdam. In this case, a few hours of visit in the beautiful Keukenhof Gardens are must.
Keukenhof Gardens are beautiful tulips gardens which are open only for a few months during the year, in the spring time. This year, 2011 the gardens will be open March 24. Usually, the season of the gardens till the mid-end of May.

In the Keukenhof Gardens you might find many attractions and other special days of other attractions and festivals such as: Classical Music Festival, Traditional Dutch Costume Festival, Summer-Flower Bulb Market, and Flower Parade, Easter Weekend, Bicycle Evening, Keukenhof for Children and The worlds largest Lily Exposition.

Keukenhof Gardens are considered to the largest flower garden in the world and also known by the name Garden of Europe.

Keukenhof location is in the South of Holland - southwest to Amsterdam. It is very easy to get there using the bus from main cities – Haarlem and Leiden and from Airport.

The Area where Keukenhof is located, it was a hunting area in the 15th century while the first flower exhibition was placed in 1949 which was the official opening time.

Except from the beautiful flower exhibition of the tulips, the park is full of nice activities for the children and for the adults as well.
These activities include the petting zoo, bike rental, boat trip, photography workshop other nice activities.
To summarize this,
Keukenhof Gardens are must for visit – try to arrive at the beginning of May – this is the time that the weather becomes very nice and you can see the beautiful tulips and enjoy the activities that Keukenhof Gardens offers you.
